Join Marion and Barbara to discuss three books of contemporary poetry written as collaborations between two poets. First, we will read Lace & Pyrite, by Ross Gay and Aimee Nezhukumatathil, followed by In the Field Between Us by Molly McCully Brown and Susannah Nevison. And finally, Bright Power Dark Peace by Traci Brimhall and Brynn Saito. Through close reading and discussion, we’ll discover the lyric potential of poets responding to one another about physical limitations, about what might be salvaged from devastation, and about tending to the earth and self.

              No matter how familiar you are with poetry, we invite you to an open and welcoming conversation. Every session will offer several generative prompts based on the topics and poetic style exemplified by each of the three books.
