Marion Starling Boyer is a Kalamazoo Valley Community College professor emeritus and has six published poetry collections.  Her most recent full length collection, ICE HOURS, won Michigan State University's Wheelbarrow Poetry Prize (Established) and was released January 2023.

Her most recent Chapbook, What Word For This, won the 2023 Grayson Books Chapbook prize.

 

Boyer served on the board of the Kalamazoo Poetry Festival for several years and co-chaired the planning committee and was invited as to be the poet for the 2018 Washington Island Literary Festival.

 

After living in Michigan forty years, Boyer and her husband moved to Twinsburg, Ohio, near Cleveland.

 

Boyer's poetry and essays have been widely published. She is available for workshops and readings and participates actively in Lit Youngstown and currently enjoys leading writing classees for Lit Cleveland.  https://www.litcleveland.org/
