Marion Starling Boyer is a Kalamazoo Valley Community College professor emeritus and has four published poetry collections.


After living in Michigan forty years, Boyer and her husband moved to Twinsburg, Ohio, just east of Cleveland. Her poetry and essays have been widely published and she enjoys leading writing workshops for Lit Cleveland and Lit Youngstown.

Boyer's fifth collection, ICE HOURS, won the Wheelbarrow Prize and is forthcoming for Michigan University Press in early 2023.
